EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Sr. No.Course / DegreeYearInstitution & Details of Subject/Topic/Thesis
1NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST2013UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION
I qualified the examination on 27th November 2013, conducted in June that year. During the final months, I was moving between hospitals, caring for my critically ill parents while continuing my studies beside their beds. My father passed away two weeks before the examination and my mother one week after it, leaving an irreplaceable void. Clearing the examination became the first step toward fulfilling my father’s dream—he would often say with pride, “Manish looks like a professor.”
2UTTARAKHAND STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (U-SET)2012KUMAUN UNIVERSITY NAINITAL
Kumaun University conducted the examination on 29th July 2012—a day I will always remember. Despite a sudden heavy downpour that drenched us on the way, my Army Public School friend Pankaj Sir and I continued our journey to the centre. With his unwavering support, I managed to appear for the examination and clear it successfully; much of the credit goes to Pankaj for standing by me through that stormy challenge.
3PH.D. (ENGLISH)2011KUMAUN UNIVERSITY NAINITAL
The topic of my doctoral research was “Sense of Religion and Revolt in the Poetry of Emily Dickinson.” It was a profound honour and a moment of immense pride to receive this prestigious degree from the hands of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, our esteemed former President and distinguished scientist, on 10 August 2011.

CAREER PROFILE

Sr. No.Organization / InstitutionDesignationDuration & Nature of Duties
1HINDU COLLEGE MORADABADASSISTANT PROFESSOR18/03/2020 To Present
Before my selection in UPHESC Advertisement No. 47, I was allotted G.D.C., Durganakuri, Bageshwar through UKPSC, but as it was far from Kashipur, I did not join and chose Hindu College, Moradabad. On 18th March 2020, two letters were being typed simultaneously—one announcing my appointment and the other declaring the college closed for an indefinite period due to the pandemic. I began my journey at Hindu College and was blessed with a daughter, Vaishnavi.
2M.G.M. (PG) COLLEGE SAMBHALASSISTANT PROFESSOR24/09/2018 To 19/03/2020
Being selected in Higher Education through the Commission was a dream-come-true moment for me. The examination was held on 7th December 2014, just days after my marriage, and I left home to appear for it soon after celebrating my wife’s first birthday after marriage. As the previous months had been devoted to wedding preparations, I was unsure of the result, but I believe my wife Suman Pandey brought good fortune that helped me succeed.
3GHSS DHAULNAILI, BHAISHIYACHHANA, ALMORAASSISTANT TEACHER24/06/2016 To 23/09/2018
It was my first government job, a significant milestone in my career. The experience was entirely new for me, and after being constantly surrounded by students from Army Public School and my tuition classes, I initially found myself alone. I used that solitude to prepare for the UPHESC Advertisement No. 46 interview, having already qualified the written examination, and around the same time, I was blessed with the birth of my son, Samarth Joshi.
4GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE GAIRSAINASSISTAT PROFESSOR01/07/2015 To 20/06/2016
Here, I worked as a Guest Faculty member, and it was my first experience in higher education as well as my first opportunity to live in the Garhwal region. Surrounded by such supportive colleagues—many of whom are now professors in various colleges—I gained invaluable academic and professional insight. The serene and uplifting environment enriched my learning and kept my spirits high.
5ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL HEMPURTGT/PGT ENGLISH01/04/2009 To 30/06/2015
Army Public School was my first place of employment, where I received my appointment soon after completing my B.Ed. from Pithoragarh Degree College in 2009. I successfully qualified both the TGT and PGT examinations conducted by the Army Welfare Education Society.
