Interest Area and Specialization:
h Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Laser processing of materials, Design of experiments,
Modeling and optimization of manufacturing processes, Composite materials etc.
h I have done my PhD in the area of modeling and optimization of continuous fibre-polymer
composites using Abrasive water jet machining. In this work I have also applied multi-objective optimization
techniques such as Grey relational analysis, principal component analysis etc. I have also investigated
quantification of delamination in polymer composites using scanning electron microscopy etc.
h I am also doing work in the following research areas: Design and fabrication of self-lubricating textured tools
for environment friendly machining
h Tribological investigations of different types of metal matrix composites
h Laser beam machining of difficult-to-cut materials
h Environment friendly machining of aerospace grade alloys using vegetable oil based nano-lubrication etc
