Interest Area and Specialization:
h My key areas of academics and research are Electrical Machines, Power System and
Power Electronics. I had pursued my M.Tech. in Power Electronics and drives. During my
M.Tech. program, I designed, fabricated and tested a hardware project for speed control of Three Phase
Induction motor with pulse width modulation. The simulation was also performed. The simulation results and
experimental results matched each other. The work was carried out at IIT Kanpur.
h My work for Ph.D. thesis was on design, fabrication, modeling, simulation and testing of single phase and
three phase modified Mho distance relaying schemes for protection of long distance high voltage lines. This
work was also carried out at IIT Kanpur. One of the research paper was treated as the best paper and Tata
Rao Medal award was conferredbu Institution of Engineersin1995.
h A Ph.D. thesis was also guided by me on topic” Damping of Sub Synchronous Resonance in Power System.”By
this work two papers were published in renowned international journals.
h I have also worked on mitigation of congestion. Recently a paper was published in Springer. I have also
worked on interleaveddc-dcconverer.
