          Interest Area and Specialization:
          h   Design of  agent based distributed control schemes for different devices in power system
             such as energy storage devices. The optimal and adaptive  distributed control schemes are
             to be designed for peak shaving of the  distribution system .  A consensus-based leader-
             follower distributed control scheme under cyber-attacks, with an arbitrary topology, is designed while
             incorporating information deviation detection scheme.
          h   A fuzzy logic-based information deviation detection scheme is developed  for detection of the effects of
             cyber-attacks on the information.  The model predictive and receding control schemes are   proposed to
             predict optimal power exchange to energy storage devices and the stored energy with defined Depth of
             Discharge (DOD) in batteries with consideration of state of health of batteries.
          h   The information deviation of agents is monitored and, based on their information deviations, the control
             actions are taken to ensure agents’ information convergence. In the electricity consumption data , micro
             clusters are obtained to reveal local clusters and, hence, further partition of the data set is avoided. Core
             points in load data help in analyzing the occurrence of a peak-valley in load pattern.
          h   The active distribution network (ADN) is an integral component of the smart grid.  The ADN improves reliability
             and resiliency in the power grid integrated with many distributed energy resources (DERs). This is possible
             that, during outage, the ADN can be isolated from the main grid and it can continue to operate in island mode
             with indeterminate broken links and scarce generation resources. The characteristics and challenges of
             deployment of distributed power plants (DPPs) in hierarchical active distribution network are identified.
