Interest Area and Specialization:
h My interest lies in General Management areas that have the potential to impact life
positively, especially that of the marginalized sections of the society e.g. Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR), women issues, education, skill development, sustainability,
rural tourism, training &employment of persons with disabilities (PWD). I teach General
Management, Human Resource Management, Organization Behaviour courses to Hospitality Management
students and hence study general management issues with reference to the hospitality industry. I have
conducted many workshops in villages and other institutions to create awareness regarding hygiene,
nutrition, tuberculosis, family planning, gender issues etc especially with reference to women and girl child
as an effort to make a difference at the ground level. I am a core member of the Zero TB Digital Platform, an
innovative initiative in the area of adoption of TB patients especially children. I intend to continue research in
the General Management areas with reference to hospitality area using qualitative research methods.
